About RSPCA Queensland

For nearly 140 years, RSPCA Queensland has been a leading animal welfare charity, dedicated to improving the lives of animals - whether domestic, farmed, or native. We care for over 42,000 animals annually, relying on the generosity of animal lovers like you to fund 91% of our life-changing services.

Our Mission: Together We Change Lives, And That Includes Yours.

About the Role

RSPCA Queensland is relaunching the national RSPCA Lottery, and we are looking for a strategically minded National Lottery Data & Insights Analyst who loves the challenge of driving revenue growth and finding the levers that make a lottery sing.

Reporting to the National Lottery Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating performance across a growing national program. This role sits at the heart of commercial decision-making, where data, creativity and experimentation come together. You will analyse what is working, identify where to push harder, uncover opportunities to optimise campaigns, and help shape a lottery program built for scale, sustainability and long-term impact.

If you enjoy chasing targets, testing ideas, refining mechanics and watching revenue climb as a result of smart insights, this role offers that thrill, with the added bonus that every dollar raised directly helps animals in need. You will join a fun, highly engaged and supportive national team that genuinely enjoys what they do. We move fast, collaborate openly, celebrate wins, and back each other to try new things.

What We’re Looking For

You are commercially curious and genuinely excited by performance. You enjoy asking “why”, “what if” and “how do we do this better?”. You are comfortable working with targets, ambiguity and fast-moving priorities, and you thrive when you can see your insights directly influence outcomes.

Just as importantly, you enjoy working with people. You are collaborative, open and confident communicating insights to stakeholders with varying levels of data literacy. You value teamwork, shared wins and building something bigger than yourself.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Analyse sales performance, supporter behaviour and market trends to identify growth opportunities, pressure points and untapped revenue levers.
  • Deep dive into campaign performance to understand what drives sell-outs, spikes in demand and sustained momentum.
  • Build engaging dashboards, reports and presentations that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting and scenario modelling to help the team chase ambitious but achievable revenue targets.
  • Test, optimise and evaluate lottery mechanics, pricing, prize mix and supporter journeys using data-led experimentation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion, retention and lifetime value across the supporter lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Digital, Sales and Member Societies to turn insights into action and outcomes.
  • Develop scalable reporting frameworks and data structures that support a growing national program.
  • Champion data quality, governance and compliance while keeping insights practical and decision-focused.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, smarter tooling and advanced analytics to lift capability and efficiency.

This is not a passive reporting role. You will be actively shaping strategy, influencing decisions and helping the team pull the right levers to drive results.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics or similar.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, ideally in gaming, lottery or FMCG environments.
  • Strong capability managing complex data sets within CRM systems.
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI or similar visualisation tools.
  • A natural problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments and enjoys tackling complex challenges.
  • Highly motivated and hands-on, with a genuine passion for improving performance and outcomes through data and insight.
  • Confident communicator with strong presentation skills and the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • A genuine interest in animal welfare and alignment with RSPCA Qld values.

Why Join Us?
